Shammick Workshops
The cost of Shammick Acoustic workshops is subsidised by Shammick Acoustic, which is why they cost only £12.00 for day-long workshops (or £9.00 for half-day), including teas/coffees.  The price does not include lunch and it is suggested that you bring a packed lunch – although the pub also does lunches. The number of places is limited and are allocated on a first come/first served basis - so early booking is advised! All enquiries for workshops, or to get a booking form, contact Barbara Brown on 01271 882366

October 9th Shammick Half-day (afternoon) Workshop:

HELP! I NEED SOMETHING TO SQUEEZE

During the afternoon, in response to several requests, we are organising a come-and-try workshop for people who want to find out about and/or try out any free-reed instruments - piano accordion, melodeon, and three types of concertina. It is, simply, a hands-on try-it-and-see opportunity: there’s expert players to explain, demonstrate and help [Ray Delf, from Padstow – accordion; Geoff Lakeman (Seth’s dad) – duet concertina; Al Cruse – Melodeon & anglo concertina; Tom Brown – English concertina]. The session runs from 1:30 to 5:00 and costs only £5:00 including tea/coffee and biscuit – but it is FREE to under-16s and full-time students.  Booking forms can be had at Shammick Acoustic or you can download a .pdf HERE (L-click)
